Membership: Joining Phoenix Canoe Club

You can join the Club by taking part in an Introductory Paddle Discover Award course or already hold that award or higher. The Paddle Discover Award course includes free membership up to 31st March of the following year.  Annual membership is by payment of annual subscription up to 31st March each year. We have varying membership rates for Junior (9-17), Senior and Concessions as well as a Family Membership rate. 2019/20 MEMBERSHIP RATES

£85   Adult (18+)

£75   Adult (OVER 60)

£65   Adult (F/T Student)

£65   Junior (9-17)

£55   Junior (Sibling)

£230 Family Membership (2 adults + your own children)

All family members must have the BC Paddle Discover Award minimum.

£50   Kayak Indoor Storage (limited space available) You are responsible for insuring your kayak.

Click the blue button below and you will be taken to our “WebCollect” page where you can renew membership, purchase courses, river trips and activities. You can pay using PayPal, Debit or Credit Cards via the PayPal button. You can also pay by BACS, or with good old fashioned cash and cheques. Please use the WebCollect page to complete the forms and payments – we will update your records when BACS, cash or cheques payments appear in our account. We have reviewed the information we collect and have made the forms shorter and quicker to complete.

CONFIDENTIALITY

When you book onto a course, we need to capture certain personal information. We need this so that we can contact you and be aware of any particular needs to run the session or course effectively and safely. We hold information digitally and in hard copy for all of our registered club members, including address, telephone contacts, e-mail address and declared health information. This information is restricted to  system administrators and not disclosed to any other agencies.

Please advise the Duty Coach of any health problems that may affect you during normal Club sessions. We will ask you at Membership renewal to check and update any information that we hold on WebCollect. Please inform us at any time if the information we have needs updating. CHILD PROTECTION CONTACT

Julia Fabricius is our Child Protection and Safeguarding officer. NEWSLETTERS

We have a weekly Newsletter that is sent to all members detailing forthcoming events and activity reports. Members are free to advertise in the newsletter and put forward articles and reports. To keep administration costs to a minimum, the Newsletter is circulated by e-mail only – subscribe to the mailing list by adding your e-mail in the Sign Up box in the right hand column of the website. If you want to find out information for schools and youth groups or general Outdoor Centre activities, sign up to the relevant Newsletters in the right hand column on the Phoenix Outdoor Centre web page.
